Bar Crusher is now manufacturing its boats with anchor well designed to fit the popular Stress Free Anchor Winch. The reel-style winch is beautifully engineered and has been specified in Bar Crusher’s optional accessories range after extensive testing over the past three years. Bar Crusher director Peter Cleland said a winch was essential item for anglers who anchored to fish.
“No more straining your back to pull up the anchor, just flick the switch and up it comes …. It’s fantastic if you like to move around and fish different spots,” Mr Cleland said.
“We expect in a few years every boat will come out of the factory with a winch, but for now we’re providing maximum flexibility by building all Bar Crushers to accept the Stress Free Anchor Winch.”
Every new Bar Crusher now leaves he factory with the anchor well set up for the winch. The winch can be fitted at the time of manufacture or can be retrofitted at the dealership.

I want you to know how delighted with my new “small” stress free winch. I have an “Allison 175 fisherman” but getting the anchor in and out was always a pain and even though I love the boat I was looking at changing to another boat that would provide an anchor winch. I saw your winch displayed at the Hillary's Marina Boat Show exhibited by Mandurah Outboards and was impressed. I got the measurements required, checked the opening of the hatch and all seemed ok so I bought one. After purchasing cabling and bow roller I spent a good day and fitted it myself strengthening the bulkhead on both sides to take the load. I must say it’s the best money I have spent as I now have a “hassle free” day fishing. I would suggest and recommend anyone not wanting to go forward raising the hatch to attend to the anchor to purchase a “Stress Free Winch”.

I thought I would just drop you a line to say I used the new winch for the first time yesterday and it works a treat. After having my old winch for 5 years and experiencing constant problems with the rope getting jammed because it wouldn’t lay in the well properly, and having it always slip when the spliced section got to the gypsy, it was great to have those problems behind me. I was delighted to have a ‘stress free’ day using your winch. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I recently had one of your stress free motorized anchor systems installed and tested it for the first time last week. It is without a doubt the best toy I have put into a boat in 20 years of being a boat owner/fisherman. Changing location while fishing is no longer a chore or a thing that has to be delayed due to the physical task of manually pulling up the anchor. A top idea, simple to use and highly recommended to any serious boat owner/fisherman.

Congratulations – I was given a Small Stress Free as a Christmas present. What a fantastic gift. I fitted the winch to my Haines Hunter 580 breeze. The winch is fantastic, fishing is now better than ever, I move around a lot more and catch more catch. A top product.
